Home Life

Everyone has been asking for pictures of our house and all the snow. Well, ask and ye shall receive!

This is our house. So fancy.

This is the view down our street. The snow plow man plows the snow into a nice median for us. Actually, it's not that nice because it's a pretty narrow road to begin with.
The view out our front door.

I call this our Charlie Brown tree. It's not as sad as a real Charlie Brown tree but it's tiny and cute. And when Kyle shovels snow, he throws it on the tree. (The snow that's there actually fell there, Kyle didn't do that.)

This is our back porch. See why we don't have a grill?
Our spacious backyard.

That's it. There's our house and yard. There's probably 7+ inches of snow on the ground right now. We got most of that this weekend.

Sign Post Forest

Watson Lake, YT makes Auburndale look like the big city. We drove through it and didn't even realize it. We had to turn around and go to the ONE motel. Thankfully it was nice. There were 3 restaurants: a truckstop (which had really good food), a Chinese place (Kyle said it was disgusting and was mad that he spent $15 on gross sweet & sour chicken), and a mom & pop fast food place (which Kyle loved.)
The Sign Post forest is in Watson Lake, YT. (Yukon) People add signs from their hometowns to the forest, some people even have signs specially made documenting the date of their trip, names, etc. It was really neat.

There was a Nothern Lights Centre (because they can have a Nothern Lights centre but not more than one place to stay.) I thought the solar system signs were so cool.

We had to get pictures of the signs from Florida. These aren't all of them, I'm sure, but they're the ones we saw. We wished we had kept the old license plate from the Expedition to add.

And Dothan, AL.

And some more mountains because I know you can't get enough.

This is my favorite shot from the entire trip.

Mountains

Sorry for the delay in updating, our internet is super slow which makes uploading pics almost impossible. Anyway, these are from Canada. We were so excited when we first saw the snow-capped mountains, they're really beautiful. Now we're a little jaded because Anchorage is surrounded by mountains.
